A strong brand name is essential for business success. People are more
likely to buy from brands that they know rather than unknown brands in
the market. It’s not that the old brands are better. There are new
brands that may have superior products. It’s more of a question of
trust. Does your target market trust you enough to buy from you? This is
one of the questions you should ask yourself. If not, then measures
should be taken to strengthen your brand.
Here are 5 ways to strengthen your brand online.
First, create a website.
When a company has a website it makes the company seem more trustworthy
to buyers. Consumers will see that you are there and that you exist.
Websites contain contact information and office address. By having a
website for your products and services consumers will know where to
reach and this will make you seem more “real” to them.
Second, have a Facebook fanpage.
The popularity of facebook is growing everyday. Upon waking up, the
first thing that people go to is their facebook profiles. Use this to
your advantage. Create a facebook fanpage
and find a way to make people “like” your page. This is one way of
making noise online. Every time you have updates, it will automatically
appear on the home page of those who have “liked” your page.
Third, tweet company updates regularly.
Twitter is a strong marketing tool. You can use this to update your
followers on current events of your company. Inform your clients of the
latest products, promos and sales. This will keep them in the know and
this will allow you to keep the buzz online.
Fourth, hold a contest.
One of the easiest ways to involve people and get them to discover your
products is to hold contests. It can be a blogging contest or a photo
contest or basically any kind of gimmick you can think of. For instance,
if you are selling shoes, you can hold a Best Picture Contest.
Contestants can submit pictures of themselves wearing your shoes. The
best looking picture wins a pair of personally designed shoes. You can
also post the pictures on your profile and the picture that gets the
most number of likes wins. That’s free marketing for you.
Fifth, send out emails.
One benefit of having your own website is that you get to grow your
mailing list. You can then send emails regularly to the people on your
list. Your emails don’t have to be promotional in nature. It can be
informational. Like “How to pick the perfect pair of shoes for you” or
“How to walk comfortably in heels.” People will appreciate not being
marketed to all the time. Of course, at the end of each email, include a
link to your website.
There are many more ways to strengthen your brand online. These are just a few of the ways you can do so. Try it out and watch your bottom line increase.
