Traffic is the most important factor for online success and
therefore I see increasingly more tutorials and articles explaining how
to get traffic for novice webmasters out there.
This is not an usual “Get Traffic to My Website” article just because it comes with some innovative ways of doing it, my own ways which many of you might consider a little bit weird, but I assure you they are working perfectly fine. So…no get traffic from social media, get traffic from posting to web forums and guest posting or writing in Chinese. Fiverr is a website created for all people who want to provide services in exchange for $5. Whether it is a service, something creative or advertising, Fiverr manages to make thousands of members and customers happy everyday. The reason I chose Fiverr as an advertising option is because there are many additional offers to help internet marketers and people searching for ways to promote their websites.
Starting from offers to help you get more .EDU or .GOV backlinks to your website or getting more Facebook fans to your page and ending with offers who help you promote your website outdoor by placing a message on a board, nail, car or whatever people might have.
I’m sure there’s no need for me to tell you how much exposure you can get from Google and especially from Google services which are used by most users on a daily basis. iGoogle is the Google homepage which allows every user to customize it as much as they want with thousands of templates tons of great gadgets and you can even choose how to display them.
It might be a strange thing to hear for many of you, but Expression Engine is a trend among new webmasters who are working on building a social media website. Of course, WordPress is still the king but that doesn’t mean you don’t have some other options too.
Building a theme allows you to place a backlink to your website in the footer and get more exposure for your website as well as better search engine rankings due to backlinks.
Letting people know you hear them is the most important thing in my opinion when your website has the purpose of teaching people or helping them with useful information. Every blogger has experienced time issues, lack of inspiration or just getting exhausted due to overworking. In those moments you can still get some traffic to your old posts. All you have to do is to select a great post you have published in the past and start promoting it again on social media websites.
Looking at YouTube I see one of the websites with a great authority and a generator of page views. According to Google Ad Planner, YouTube generates every month over 140 billion page impressions coming from nearly 900 million visitors. The secret behind this great business is even simpler than you might imagine…people love watching videos all day long.
So, if you have the opportunity and a good server on which to host videos you should definitely use this as a loophole to get more traffic because people will spread the word fast. Even if you don’t have a web server on which you can host videos, you can go on Vimeo for free or premium to add some branding in the player.
